Help for the village of Hrušky after the tornado

Metrostav provided significant assistance to the village of Hrušky, which was decimated by a tornado and hailstorm in June 2021.  Metrostav reached an agreement with the village leadership to repair the local kindergarten. The natural disaster tore off about half of its truss roof and irreparably damaged the remaining part. The façade and windowpanes were also damaged, and the interior was completely washed out. The originally intended reconstruction of the building was extended to a complete modernisation after a thorough examination. The kindergarten started operating in February 2022. As part of its assistance to the community, Metrostav also rebuilt the cemetery wall torn down by the storm and some other ancillary works.  The work, worth CZK 8.5 million, was carried out entirely free of charge, based on a contract for the gratuitous performance of construction work.
