Metrostav has supported the Philippines

Employees of the largest domestic construction company have joined the SOS Philippines fund-raising campaign organised by People In Need, public benefit society, which has been intended to helping the area heavily affected by typhoon Hayian, and collected nearly CZK 157,000. The management of Metrostav join-stock company, wishing to express their intention to support the social conscience of company employees, have doubled this amount. It means that the total of CZK 314,000 will be provided to help those in need. For Metrostav, which is one of the founders of Business for the Society Platform, it is not the first case of helping victims of natural catastrophes. The help was provided, for example, during floods in the Czech Republic in 2002 and 2013, after the hurricane sweeping the High Tatras (2004) or the devastating tsunami in Sri Lanka (2008).
