Transport and Technical Infrastructure Construction Project of the Year 2024: Six Awards for Metrostav
The awards for the Transport and Technical Infrastructure Construction Project of the Year for 2024 were handed out yesterday at a gala evening at the National Technical Museum.
Works by Metrostav won three titles and three prizes, shared by Division 1 and Division 6.
The trophies were accepted for Division 1 by Miroslav Záhoř, Area Director for the Plzeň Region, for the works by Division 6 by Director Jan Šlajs, Petr Vochyán, Deputy Area Director for the Vysočina Region, project managers Tomáš Beržinský and Daniel Boďa and preparation engineer Jan Vicher.
The following construction projects were awarded titles for Transport and Technical Infrastructure Construction Project of the Year 2024:
- City ring road in Plzeň, Křimická (Chebská) – Karlovarská section, project manager Miroslav Záhoř, Division 1, investor Plzeň Region Road Management and Maintenance and the City of Plzeň;
- Modification of the head of Hořín Lock, project manager Jan Prokeš, Division 6, investor Waterways Directorate of the Czech Republic;
- Refurbishment of the passenger building at České Budějovice hlavní nádraží, project manager Jan Prokeš, Division 6, investor Správa železnic.
Other prizes were awarded to the following projects:
- Reconstruction of the Old Town Weir - River Vltava km 53.18, Prague - Prize for Unique Reconstruction of Important Technical Heritage using Modern Technologies, project manager Daniel Boďa, Division 6, investor Povodí Vltavy;
- Modernisation of the boat lift at Orlík Waterworks - Prize for Exceptional Design and Technical Solution of a Historically Important Boat Lift, project manager Tomáš Beržinský, Division 6, investor Povodí Vltavy;
- Road bridge over the Elbe between Valy and Mělice, Pardubice Region - Prize for Exceptional Structural, Technical and Architectural Design of a Road Bridge, project manager Luboš Jonáš, investor Waterways Directorate of the Czech Republic/SÚS PK.
