The section of the D3 motorway Tábor – Veselí nad Lužnicí included a set of structures with a total length of approximately 26 kilometers. Bridges over the Koberný pond (575 m) and over the Černovický stream and over the river Lužnice (1,063 m) were also included.
After its completion, the D3 motorway will become part of the complementary TINA network of European transport corridors.

Exceptionality of the structure
The aim of the project was to move traffic away from inhabited localities, to eliminate insufficient capacity, to eliminate point deficiencies, to reduce traffic accidents, to reduce noise pollution, exhalations, to reduce driving times, etc. The project, in addition to improving the safety and flow of traffic, contributed to reducing the negative impact of road transport on the environment by relieving traffic on or near the existing routes.
