Characteristics
This combined bridge of road and city rail transit as part of the Blanka tunnel complex also carries pedestrians and cyclists across the Vltava River and connects the Prague city districts of Holešovice and Troja.
The main field support system consists of a steel arc with a pull rod and a pre-tensioned concrete deck suspended on the arc by means of network-layout suspension bars. The inundation field is a longitudinally and transversely pre-tensioned monolithic concrete structure.
Exceptionality of the structure
Trojský most je složitá konstrukce, která respektuje architektonické požadavky soutěžního návrhu. Oblouk je mimořádně plochý (poměr rozpětí a vzepětí je 10). Hlavní pole nemá přiznané hlavní nosníky na podhledu mostu. Unikátní provedení zábradlí a osvětlení je též realizováno na základě architektonických požadavků. Most přechází Vltavu jedním polem bez pilířů v řece, čímž se výrazně odlišuje od všech ostatních pražských mostů.
