Skilled Apprentices Scholarships

Metrostav is the only construction and civil engineering company in the Czech Republic that has a comprehensive apprenticeship education system. The aim of the Skilled Apprentices Program, functioning since 2008, is to increase interest in the construction disciplines and the transfer of know-how to young craftsmen. 

Within the project, Metrostav cooperates with schools in Prague, Ústí nad Labem, Kolín, Kladno, Jaroměř, Hluboká nad Vltavou, Nymburk and Liberec. Metrostav provides material support to students during their studies and allows them to practice in their own workplaces. 

Annually, approximately 10,000 hours of professional training takes place in these workplaces. The Skilled Apprentices Program has supported 515 students since 2008, many of whom have then become key employees of the Metrostav Group.
